Saigon Sunday Bolognese Sauce

Hearty tomato sauce infused with Oohnami! Spicy Gochu Chili Sauce, ground beef, green bell peppers, and onion. Served over spaghetti with grated parmesean and minced parsley.

Ingredients

  • 455 g ground beef
  • ½ cup yellow onion, diced ¼ inch
  • ½ cup green bell pepper, stemmed, seeded, diced ¼ inch
  • 3 cups tomato marinara sauce
  • ¾ cup OohNami! Spicy Gochu Chili Sauce
  • 8 cups spaghetti, prepared according to package instructions
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 teaspoons parsley, minced

Directions

  1. Brown the beef
In a large saucepot over high heat, add the ground beef.
Cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring often and breaking it into crumbles, until browned.
  2. Add the vegetables
Add the diced onion and green bell pepper to the browned beef.
Cook for 3–5 minutes, until the vegetables soften slightly.
  3. Add the sauces
Lower heat to medium and add the marinara sauce and OohNami! Spicy Gochu Chili Sauce.
    Bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Simmer the bolognese
Reduce heat to low–medium and let the sauce simmer for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.
Allow the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.
  5. Serve
    Remove from heat.
For each serving, portion 2 cups cooked spaghetti, top with 1 cup bolognese sauce, and finish with 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan and 1 teaspoon minced parsley.
